One of my photos was selected as today's "Daily Weather Pic" by The Weather Channel... so everyone quick go turn on your TVs and watch the weather channel. lol. It should be televised between 4 and 6 ET today. Or you can see it on The Weather Channels website, today only, here:

| I think it was just what is called a "slash burn", where they burn big piles of brush after logging. The smoke only lasted a couple hours so it couldn't have been anything too serious. Thanks for your comments! |

That's an interesting photo. The way the smoke is drifting over the bridge is interesting.
Congrats to you for having it chosen. I don't know how many entries they get a day.
I have also had a couple posted there a while back. They keep an archive, so your image will be easy to find for a long time. You can search "smoke, your city USA" and find it years later.
