I found this article on photographing 'holiday' lights at the New York Institute of Photography website and thought I would pass the link along for others to read.

Good tips; I like that he doesn't assume everyone has manual controls and talks about how to manipulate a P+S.

I thought I'd add an update to this thread since I went looking for this info and found this thread, but the original link is outdated...I dug around a bit and found this instead, it sounds like it's what the original link was covering.

Thanks ... I was just noticing some of the displays up nearby, and wanted to look up some hints.
