Hey, regarding another thread i have up, im making a compilation of pictures and video clips of a car build up for a friend and i need a video editor to peice it all together. I want somethign that doesn't put watermakrs, has basic transtions (ie// fade to black and such) Dont need anything fancy, need the ability to add audio and control the volume and such. Any thoughts?

Windows Movie Maker is a free download and has what you mentioned. Very easy to use.

I haven't used it in a couple years, but it didn't back then. Maybe it's changed then, I dunno.

Windows Movie Maker is a component of XP (as a part of SP2). Its functionality is pretty basic, but it should do what you want, and it is free, designed for XP and from a trusted source.
