Thanks guys

I have some options - there is a Caffe Baci on Michigan Ave, very close to the Art Institute on the opposite side of the street. Actually it's closer to the Millennium Park, but still very nearby. Opens at 8.00am. Coffee here is exceptional!

Also, there is a Corner Bakery in the vacinity which opens at 7.30 am. 224 S Michigan is the closest (Adams and Michigan) to the Art Institute.

Both are good options if we are meeting at the Art Institute @ 9.00am.

Sarah

John

Just got your pm. There's always Lou Mitchells 565 West Jackson. That opens at 5.30 am on a Saturday. It's West of the highway, so you'd probably need to take the car.

I had a blast today! It was nice to meet some of the people behind the usernames.

Bummer, I missed out on this. I need to get myself motivated to start participating here more, so I can get to know some of the new DPCers. The last Chicago GTG I attended was a blast.

Great to meet you too Rob (and everyone)

Looking forward to seeing the results. Beginning to wish I had used your sunscreen though. Nose is a bit pink.

It was long day, but very rewarding and fun, as always, to meet some new friends and spend some time with old ones. I'm headed off to bed, but here are a few quick shots. More to follow, but have to hold back because of impending challenge submissions!

Minus a few that might end up in challenges, I added several to my portfolio.

My favorite of the Millenium Park photos yesterday. I sat waiting for this woman to turn her head around:

Yeah, and I'm done until we put something together for Horicon Marsh. Let's get this thing on the books for sometime in June or July!

Hey, I wanna do this. Need to find me another campground. Can't do the weekend before or after the 4th of July.

Another shot from the fountain:

My sunrise shots from the planetarium were pretty much a bust. The sun didn't appear until about 20 minutes after sunrise due to a cloud and even then wasn't in view for long. This shot will have to wait for another day.

Boy what a good job we weren't doing it today! It's been pouring with rain on top of the cold. You can't even see the Sears Tower!

Mine were too, but I thought it was just technical mistakes on my part.

I had a great time. Thanks once again for waiting in the morning. I will post the pictures soon. I know Ron was planning for 4th July GTG. I am not sure if I can make it as it's mid week. But I was talking to Maya, we should plan a GTG in Fall.

That's "Russel Crowe" to you, and I think a Fall GTG would be great. There will be fewer bugs, and we might be able to catch the leaves changing color.
