I thought they were ducks, but krnodil figured out they're really Egyptian geese. I've been shooting these guys since I first saw them at the park on the 9th of April. They're almost young adults at this point. So for the one or two of you following along...

They've gone from this:

And remember the little baby mallards?

Comments not required - just sharing the fun I have at the park watching these guys grow up.

Deb, those are great. I'm so glad our babies don't grow that fast, it would be heartbreaking. Those lil guys will be adults before the summer is done. :)

A one year birthing cycle for a species that already knows how to almost cheat death (or at least extend life), has no predators within it's habibat, and terraforms everthing to uphold it's species wellbeing would probably be a very bad thing.
