I saw quite a few money photos with actual MONEY in them. I noted them for disqualification based on the rules. However, when I saw the results, they were still listed. I know they were near the bottom, but they were there nonetheless. How does disqualifying work? I'd like to know if it's worth my time to even point anything out for accidental rule forgetfulness. Thanks

Meeting the challenge (money in the shot) isnt actually a rule, just a guideline.

A DQ must be taken when illegal actions were taken with the image in post processing phase or the subject is agaisnt site rules.
When you found a shot with is in disagree with the challenge theme, only rate it very low! The theme judge is only you.

I discovered (too late) a likeness of money in my shot and tried to have it disqualified. I was unsuccessful because not meeting the challenge is not a disqualifying offense.

I just try to learn. At least (in my mind) I can blame any low votes I got on the break in challenge. All the while accepting any high votes as "only my due". :)

I would like to have a mark next to my photographs for each DQ request they have received.

I would proudly wear them like ribbons.

All I can say is "wow"! I can't believe anyone would ding you for that supposed "likeness of real currency". That's just plain stupid. Its people like that who give us literalists a bad name. :-)

I definetly didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I just try so hard to play by the rules (I have a government/semi-legal background) and I read the rules VERY carefully for each challenge. I don't want to DQ anyone if they are not really at fault. I am glad to learn more about how the themes work and are judged. I appreciate your help in this and will vote accordingly in the future! :)

Good luck on the challenges everyone!!!
