That's true, but unfortunately it's the essence of digital photography. The belief that a photo guaranteed reality made sense in an era when very high-level skills, a great deal of time and specialized chemicals and equipment were necessary to alter photographs. Today, a digital image is much more easily (yes, skill is needed but more easily acquired) than in the past. I was told by a local police chief that the District Attorney won't accept digital photos as evidence in court because they are too easily manipulated.
