The main reason I decided to become a member and support DPC was that it is a jewel among many other sites that are cluttered with advertising and annoying pop-ups. This site is clean and beautifully designed. It's easy to use and it's one of the best learning tools there is on the Internet right now. The little fee is very much worth it. The owners of this site deserve every single penny for their great effort.
My son and my husband became members as well. We all believe it's fair.

Once you've got your Paypal account, payment & membership is almost instantaneous.
I paid for 1 month to try it out - then when it expired (where's my Update Stats button gone?!?!?!), I just paid through Paypal, and I had membership status straight away. (Phew, there it is!).
So - twiddle your thumbs, wait for your Paypal account to come through/activate, and when it's there - hit that button!
(Oh, and Paypal is handy to have anyway. You can leave it sitting there for ages, and then if you need to pay for something, or win an Ebay auction, there it is, ready for you.)

Welcome Andi! :-))) I just got membership in the recent days, too! It's soo cool! :-) I got addicted to the update stats button, it will brun in my monitor, LOL! I hope you will enjoy the extras, and another reason: the December challenges for members! I hope I get my new camera this week, I want to take part of Macro III, I am so excited! :-)

Okay, so now that I can update my scoring on demand, can someone remind me the mathematical way to figure out what votes you're getting? I wanna be a manic score watcher too but I'm not good enough with math to figure out what the formula is.
I have to say I'm amazed- 244 votes, only 6 comments (all saying 8, 9 or 10) and a current score of 5.0697. Wha?? I think people who give low scores should have to explain themselves :-)

244 * 5.0697 = 1237 total votes. When there's 245 votes multiply it out again and see what the difference in total votes is.
