I was quite happy with my score in the Money challenge, so no complaint but with this challenge I really had trouble deciding which of three photos to submit. The one I went with is very different to the others, where I tried for a special effect.

So, which of the three should I have gone for? and comments in general on the new ones please ....

Considering we only had time to take 5 runs with the car, and I had never tried shots like this, I was quite happy with the results. With only the two of us there was a heap of running between camera and positions while the timer ticked though *laugh*

I think you picked the right shot! I like the pose and simplicity of it. If you wanted a car in it, I think it might have been good to have the car still and her leaning into the driver side window.

The one you entered was the best. The car in the two photos you didn't submit is a bit distracting imo.

Yup, what spoons said.

I agree. You chose the right one.

PS. hope she didn't make you PAY for that shot. LOL!

LOL, nope, she didn't make me pay, well, not with cash. That's my camera murdering girlfriend playing dress-ups.

Thanks for the feedback there guys, I thought I picked the right one, but friends I showed all picked different ones each and got things more confused than ever.

I concure with the census... you picked the right one. I like the other two shots also but I think they take away from the point of focus.

I think what we really want to know is.... did anyone stop and try to pick her up?

Well now Simon, I have two minor quibbles.
First, technically, she's a "camera-maimer", but cannot be charged with camera murder, unless the laws are different down under ;)
Second, you promised ten consecutive macro submissions with the 100/2.8, you've been caught in a lie!

No cars went by, so she didn't get any business Techno ;)

Well "attempted murder" Kirbic .... but as the camera is rapidly doing a death spiral and starting to play up, it may well end up as murder!

As for the macro shots, um, errr ...... would you believe she is actually only 2 inches tall, and thus that was actually a macro shot?

It's too snapshotish. Seems like a driveby shot. You know the type of shot you get when you're driving your car. The focus is decent so it looks like you stopped and took a quick shot.

The interesting thing about the composition is that she is looking at the left side of the composition and you have the street/sidewalk angled in that direction making wonder what she was thinking or looking at.
