I truly do have a problem with this portion of your comments.

What if something sinister had indeed transpired... would you still maintain that the actions of this individual were those of a "twirp".

I am very glad you are OK, but I did find that part of your comment a bit gratuitous.

the poor guy just had to go through all of this, and know you're dumping this on him? he was just venting. no one starting throwing accusations about how all security is like that. let's just all calm down.

sorry you had to go through that, wavelength! glad all is well now!

(i'll keep the tradition alive)

i'll shut up...

What a great country we live in that allows law abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons for the protection of others. Paranoid, yup. As much as I hated the comment made by a "leader" the war is lost, it is in the mind of so many. Not the military war but indeed the psychological war. We have spent billions of dollars needlessly protecting ourselves from nothing. When a simple phone call closes businesses and universities, a man or woman with a gym bag comes to work, a kid writes something on a bathroom wall and eveyone goes insane. It really is time to relax. Just stop and think, there has been thousands or maybe even tens of thousands of "bomb" scares that have closed schools over the last ten years. For what? Nothing, there has never been a bomb at any school. Can a society continue to stop work and close schools everytime someone has a "funny" feeling. I think not. Will there eventially be a bomb at a school, possibly. That is the price of a free society.
.
I know this will cause controvery, it shouldn't though. I am a military person, a fighter pilot who put my life in danger every day when I flew. I watched best friends die in fire balls in the desert during training flights. When someone died we were flying the same mission within hours. If the military or any society stops work everytime an idiot makes a threat or even does nothing other than bring a bag to work we have lost. It's time to accept providence and work and play like there is no tomorrow. There's more kids killed each year playing high school footbal than bombs on campus.
.
Let's not make this a flame thread, we are all grateful nothing happened again this time and we should all pray for peace, but more importantly justice for the cts of bad people.
