This is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth...
I do not think the trees hurt this photo. You have taken a photo of what many would consider cliche sunset and put interesting siluettes of trees in front of it. The sunset seems to serve as a backdrop here. The trees IMO are great. You have blue water, reddish sunset, and black trees which add nice contrast. Maybe just different cropping of the trees or a different veiwpoint. But the photo is not bad as it is.

in my humble opinion, the silhouettes are wonderful - but from the angle you took, the trees don't appear to be what your main focus was. the 'typical' for this shot would either have fewer trees, no trees.. or be shot at a lower angle. in particular, the missing top to the tall tree towards the left seems to be unfit for the photo. not that i really know what i'm talking about ;). |
