And as far requesting comments from others, it depends
on who is doing the commenting. If it's from a DPC council
member, I have lots of respect for them. Their comments
are gold to me.

But most everyone else's comments are cow dung by comparison.

I actually had someone say I shouldn't have used flash
on a Night time challenge! WTF! There were no street lamps
and no other source of light. If I took it without flash,
I would be submitting an entry of pitch darkness.
What part of that is so hard to understand.

Please people, think first before you comment.

Can we move this to rant or just lock it down?

You may wish to take your own advice.

And *your* comments are what exactly?

I was one of those people. If you look back at the photo, you'll see that you got a followup on that, explaining that many of the other shots, most, in fact, were taken without a flash. Your point seems to be "I wanted to take a picture of my car and there was no other way;" that's fine if you're taking out a for sale ad, but look at the picture; it's not a good one. The flash advice was well a meaning suggestion on how you might have improved your picture, and it's one I stand by. Take a longer exposure, or move the car somewhere with light, or find another subject - but recognize that you're being judged on the quality of your image, and nothing else, and you, and only you, have control over that.
