I was at a workshop on the weekend presented by a local artist (who is also a doctor) and he gave some tips about getting your work 'out there'.

Approach hospitals.

This local doctor (who is also a professional artist - including photography) uses the walls of the hospital he works in to display his work. The contact there was the volunteer center. This gave him access to the wall space not controlled by the hospital's gallery for 4 months at a time.

Any one with other tips, feel free to post.
