Awh..
I can tell he was well cared for,
and is still well loved.
Atleast he had your friendship.
I'm sure he misses you as well.
Felt awful when my horse died.
I know how you feel.

Losing a pet is really tough. They give you all that they have to offer while they are with you, and love you just the same, even on the bad days. Losing pets helps to prepare you emotionally for when you lose loved ones in the future. It also helps you realize that life is about changes, and death is a part of it.
It's hard now, but you will be OK about it someday.

I'm sorry Kelly. You can tell he was very well loved. Until I got Zippi I had no idea what delightful little characters piggies were.

Sorry to hear this Kelly but you will always have memories of him. Life can be so hard at times. Loosing a pet is always very hard. I still miss our 2 dogs very much but we have wonderful memories of them and photos to remind us of them.

Aw, Kelly...I'm so sorry. Sadly, our pets never live as long as we do. I'm still struggling w/the lost off my kitty...and I've even gotten a new one. You gave James the best possible life he could have had. And you always have the memories. What a great chapter in your life.

Mary O'Malley told me when Spanky died that she has a phillosophy on loss: "I like to think your heart grows a little bit bigger with each being that you love, so you can lose a piece of it and still survive."

If you need anything, let me know. HUGS!!!!

Actually I was reading an article in one of the airplane magazines that described a bird sanctuary in Arizona that is home to a great many Parrots who have outlived their owner and have behavior problems because the only 'flock' they've known for 40-50 years is their human families.

African Grey Parrots can be especially prone to this since they can live up to 60-70 years or more and because they are so intelligent. They get so grief stricken that they act out and no one wants a bird like that so more often than not they are destroyed. Very sad state of affairs.

Sorry for your loss, Kelly.
