Contrast Ration, Response Time, etc etc.

What should I be looking for when I go out this weekend to purchase a new monitor!?

Look for one that can be calibrated. How do you do that? Heck if I know. Ask around the pro photographers / shops what they use.

What size / price range? If you can swing it, I strongly recommend the 24" Dell LCD and a hardware calibrator such as Spyder or Eye-One. About $750 total.
