You know, the fabric store doesn't let you return yardage once it's been cut ... even in exchange for a funny hat : ( |

Okay, I think I have the post updated with all the current teachers/participants.
The product/concept team is coming together (I hope)
thestick requested that an IR thread be started. I'll PM marbo and Judi, if anyone else has an idea on who to contact, you can PM them or me with the suggestion. |

I think this is a wonderful idea. Thanks for starting it. Can I please be added to the portrait mentorship.
Thanks

Make Steve and I co-mentors, if you'd be so kind. He's way good enough not to be labeled an "assistant" and I plan to slough off all the real work on him anyway :-)
And Art, feel free to plagiarize at will.

I would like to be part of the Photoshop 101 group. When do we start? I would also like to sign up for product class, but I can only do one for now. Will this be going on for awhile? |

Plaid Skirt!! I thought you said Plaid Shirt . ., and now you want us to change it to lederhosen and a runny cat ?? What's that about? This is madness - I'm going to sit under the table and hum a little tune . . I might be some time. Blame Art. |

Well, I was really thinking ps101, just 'cause I'd get to wear a plaid skirt...but since that was rescinded, although I really dig funny hats, I DON'T DO LEDERHOSEN!!! (even though I'm a short, chubby guy, and they seem to really work in lederhosen) :-P
Actually, I'd be interested in signing up for the portraiture class. That is a direction I'm really persuing lately.
thanks,
taterbug :-) |

Yeah, it is... ya got me. ;) |
OK you're on.

I'd like to be in the class :) |
Sure thing! |
Think it will be a good class. Ever since I missed my opportunity to meet Ursula at last year's Southwest GTG I've been kicking myself. A year of kicking is a lot. :) Sounds like this year's Southwest USA GTG is off to a great start and should result in a lot of great landscape imagery.

We should all try to get together for an "end of class photo party" :) In the West, of course. |

I thought the point of an "assistant" was to slough all the work onto. :) |

assuming it finds an instructor, I'd be interested in the Still Life/ Product/ Concept Photography 101 |

1. If Landscape isn't full yet, I'd like to be a student too! (If it is, I'll just lurk.)
2. If no instructor is found for PS Elements (yes, I know it's early) I suggest we have an informal group to discuss and create work-arounds for techniques used in fuller versions of the software. Not everything can be solved...but much can be. |

Okay, I've added the final requests for PS101, lets make that the final for the main group for now. We'll keep things open on second thought, and wiser counsel.
The other requests have been added, if I missed anyone please PM me, it's getting hard to keep track ;)
Techo has agreed to be an assistant for Product/Concept/Still , I'm still looking for a lead in that.

I can probably help with that, as I had to deal with it for a few years myself.
We'll call that a discussion group ;) |

I'm not sure we will be "limiting" the landscape group; we tried it both ways before and it seemed to work just as well either way. If we do a limited enrollment, that's a lot of pressure to be there and participate regularly, and schedules don't always permit that; so it ran pretty slow. Open membership, there's always a few people around advancing the lessons, and whatever ground we cover is always there for the rereading anyway.

I think you can (should?) set a date for closing the enrollment so you don't have people jumping in midway, but it seems unnecessary to limit the number of participants. |

Point taken, then might I just suggest that we choose a boiling point for each class as to where we transfer things from this thread to the actual class?
When you and Steve feel comfortable that you have enough people, start your thread whenever you feel best.
