This is for work, so I need to do it today.

I read somewhere here a how to for making a starfield in PS. I don't think it was in a tutorial or thread because I searched for it, I think it was in teh description of a photo.

What I need to do is make a fake starfield for a real estate photo. Think old farmhouse at night w/ the most expansive starfield over the house. I have the house photo, but due to the position of the moon, it was pretty bright and not as many stars are visible.

Please help.

I'm not sure if this is the photo you are thinking of, but there is certainly a created starfield in it. David also included a link to the tutorial he used to create it.

rain,

If you can make a better starfield lets see it. I wanted the tutorial on how to make it because I think the color balance in this photo is too blue.

It would save me a ton of time if someone wants to create a nice starfield. Its for a real estate magazine cover that we produce. I shoot the cover photo each month. This month we did a night shot, but the moon was bright and didn't get the expansive star field I wanted. House looks great though. If you really did want to help, I would need a starfield on an 8.5x11 image at 300 dpi. It needs to look natural like a dark night out in the middle of farm country, so no planets and comets and space dust.

I would love to offer a photo credit, but I don't even get one so I don't know what to tell you.

This is cool!

Though it took me a bit to get the hang of it, still not really satisfied.
