Isn't there a feature in Photoshop where one can track changes? Just like MS Word when you edit a document and track the changes. I wish there was a feature to track changes so at the end you can copy and paste your progress into the details area for the photo. That would be cool! What do you think? Or if it is there can someone tell me where?

well the "History" panel will tell you what you did but I'm not sure about the cut and paste part...

Geez! Thank you I never looked at the history panel, but just now did, that makes it a lot easier. Cutting and pasting though not an option. I always find myself trying to remember what all I did and in what order. Well this will help a lot for the future. Thanks.

Photoshop has an option to log the editing steps. Edit | Preferences | General | History Log - if you set it to detailed, it will look like this:

That can get pretty long! :)
Without detailed, it just logs what files you open and close I think.

Okay well I have elements 2.0 and I have it set at 50 history states.

Can someone explain to me what a scratch disc is and why are there four options (First, Second, Third, and Fourth)? The first one says "Startup" then the others are set to none with C:\ and D:\ as options.

And then what plug ins can I add to my photoshop?

Scratch disks are what PS uses to store temporary data - which can get HUGE!. You should set the first one to something other than the disk PS is installed on. One is often sufficient.

Why do you recommend it be on another hard disk?
