To Fellow Northern Californians:
I would love to hear from fellow Bay Area DPC members
who are interested in a GTG sometime this Summer.
On a Saturday, preferably.
Other DPC members who live outside our area would
envy the richness of photographic opportunities we
have here. With parks, zoos, beaches, cityscapes,
bridges, bike and hiking trails, museums, landmarks, etc.
There simply is not a shortage of places to see and capture
with our cameras. In fact, the challenge is choosing just one. :-)
Let's start the brainstorm of ideas.
I'll start. A Zoo would be interesting.
Wild animals are always interesting
subjects, and zoos usually have picnic areas as well.

If you guys are going to be outside sooner is better while it's still green. |

What about a trip to Golden Gate Park and then to Baker Beach? Also I like the Albany Bulb, it has lots of sculptures and art made out of rubble in a park behind the horse track in albany. Here are some photos I have from that spot. Any other ideas?

I'd be up for it, prior commitments and family allowing.
Golden Gate Park and Baker both sound good. Muir Woods might also be an option. MIght get some good fog during the summer.
Those Albany shots look pretty neat Joe. I'm going to check it out one of these days. |

let me know, I know all the secret spots ;)
Also Muir Woods and the Marin Headlands could be a nice mix, you could go to Rodeo Beach and check out our closest thing to Canon Beach. Of course, now I am just giving away all my secret Bay area spots, lol.
Edit: I really can't type

After doing a little reading it sounds like the Albany art may soon be a thing of the past. Now i'm definitely going to make it a priority to visit.
I'll keep an eye on the thread and hopefully something gets going.

Its will eventually go away, I have been going there for a few years now and evenutally it will be a trendy strip mall/waterfront. Its been a battleground for awhile. The best chance it has of staying I think is that is soewhat of a bird sanctuary, so wildlife shooters could find some things to shoot there too. |
