Taken Saturday night, this girl was a real hoot. Between her and her mother, we were laughing so hard most of the time that it was hard to get any serious pictures.

All images are straight from Adobe Lightroom (no PS other than to reduce size and add a border).

very nice work David. She was a hoot cause she is a redhead :) Looked like a lovely time of day and the flower shots (in the garden) are gorgeous

Very, very nice. It's easy to tell that you put a lot of forethought into each and every picture. Beautiful, crisp backgrounds when they're warranted, but also excellent bokeh in those shots where she really needs to stand out (e.g. 0058A).
Great job. |

I always hand out a business card at the receptions (I have it available near the slide show) which features either the bride or the couple on the front, and instructions on where to find the couple's pictures online on the back. This is what I just put together for their wedding:
-
The couple's wedding color is pink (otherwise I would have picked a diffferent color for the font, but I think it still works okay).

Thanks. It was actually a "Tulip Festival" at the gardens on Saturday. I thought they would make for a lot of color in the images! :-)
Speaking of which, I forgot to add one of the images that featured the flowers a little more (IMG_0225A where she is laying down next to the tulips).

Thanks Geoff!
By the way, I can't take ALL of the credit for the pictures. My son DevonT was helping me shoot. In the images, if you see the letter A at the end of the name, I took the picture. If you see the letter B at the end, then he took the picture. I think it's kind of cool to show off what he's able to do. :-)
Edit to say that you'll see a much higher representation of his work on my website here.

THanks for sharing David. I partiularly like the middle image, third row down. NIce blue tones. Did you use some strobe lighting in addition to the ambient? |

Yeah... a Canon 420EX off camera shooting through an umbrella with my 580EX on camera (but pointed to the right) to trigger it.
I think I need to lighten that one a little be more, but I really like the repeating pattern in the background of that one.
The one next to it (with the pillars and the moon above her) was also done with the off camera flash.

I always seem to post at night (I guess that's when I do all my processing). Bump for the day shift. :-)

Answering jdannels question on this image:
The setup for this shot, was that I saw the moon high above our heads and knew I just wanted to get the moon into the shot somehow. So... We went up to the top of this hill. I put my Tamron 17-35mm lens on the Canon 5D (full frame so 17mm is truly wide angle) and moved in close so that the moon, even though high above, would come into the frame.
Then I had her bend forward a bit so that the "wide angle issues" would be diminished (had she stood up straight, her head would appear much smaller). Bending at the waist also gave her body language some dynamics here.
I placed my camera on a tripod and set it to manual (and later wished I had adjusted the ISO down to 200, as I had previously been shooting ISO 800 "hand held"). Exposing for the sky, I metered and went for a 1/4 second exposure at f/4.
Placing the Canon 420EX on a light stand with a shoot-through umbrella in front of it, I placed it high enough that it shown down on her from the side. I needed side lighting to bring out the features in her face, and I wanted it to come from high above (not down below where the camera was). Then, with the 580EX on camera, in master mode, pointing to my right (pointing at the 420EX) I just let the magic of eTTL do it's thing.
I took just a couple of test shots before I really had her pose. They were mainly to make sure I had my exposure right and that I had the 420 where I wanted it (I actually brought it in a lot closer to me than where I had started).
Her mom was standing there watching me work... she was just amazed! :-)
