Panorama created by running RAW images through Photomatix as a batch. Stitched together using Autostitch (OMG soooo much better than Photoshop's stitching!)

Levels
Contrast
Masked sky and water for additional contrast
Hue/Sat adjustments.
resized to 2000x500, but DPC brought it down to 800x203.

I've got some other that have much more work involved since I didn't have my exposures correct and I have some 'exposure banding'. Any one got feedback on how I should go about evening this out? I'm thinking it's going to be a very time consuming thing to do, but if that's what it takes...

Comments/feedback/help all appreciated.

The banding is best addressed by outputting the pano to a layered format, one shot to a layer. Then you can individually adjust shots to a shot that you choose as your "reference" shot. Doing corrections like this on a flattened file is extremely time-consuming and the results are never quite perfect.
It's best *always* to plan for some exposure changes. Light changes, even if camera settings don't. Lenses have light fall-off. Rare is the pano that has *no* issues with matching exposures at the stitch lines. Skies are particularly sensitive to small changes.
On your "Apostles" pano, it looks like there is an exposure change at the left side, but the transition is not sharp. Perhaps a result of the tone mapping?
The stitch is pretty darn good. Autostitch did a nice job with it. Of course, viewing it at 1/4 resolution will hide *some* things, but there are at least no major mismatches >>4px.

Unfortunately Autostitch doesn't have this option, although most of the time I can't see any banding, on this one it's bad. It's much worse in Photoshop's stitch and gave up trying to match the layers for a better solution where I ended up with Autostitch.

And it to my list of projects. ;)

hey eug nice pano you did up at the top.... I love doing panoramas and I'm not sure if you are on a mac but I use a program called Calico it works great it auto stiches and also auto blends the sections. No matter what I did in photoshop I could not get this image to blend the shades of the sky. I was looking for panorama programs and found this one and it does a really great job.

I find that photoshop does not do a good job all time on making panorama's all the time only certain images

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm working on the haloing and the flatness of the 2 big rocks in the water. Anyone got any other nits to pick? ;)

Corrected the image around the bushes and the rocks.

When I took the shot it was six, but overlap was sufficient that I pulled one pre editing. Looking at it now. I could have pull another and had it only be 4 images, but it's 5 images stitched.

First taken 2007:03:10 22:18:33
Last taken 2007:03:10 22:18:50

So in the space of 27 seconds.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't do a pano series the other direction which has many more of the columns. One area was really hard to photograph in due to the wind blowing really hard up and over the face of one of these cliffs carrying mists from the waves crashing far below.
