its a Red Velvet Mite, google it.

Based on the google, the RVM is much, much larger (approx.5-7mm). The one in my photo is about 1mm or smaller (and from a tropical cloud forest). |

Could be a red spider mite which are around 1mm in size.
That's a great capture by the way. Very unusual.
