I think we can all agree that strobes and flashes both have their place and time. It wouldn't make any more sense to have a bunch of flashes on stands in the studio than it would to carry 4 AB800s to your kid's birthday party. Flashes are great - indispenable even - for location work, like weddings. On the other hand, quality strobes make studio life work better. There is no ONE right light to have -- a flexible photographer should have flexible lighting options.
