Well, tomorrow afternoon I go embark on an expedition for a Landscape shot. It should be a grand adventure which requires I borrow a friend's wetsuit and ford half a mile up a river by foot. I'm planning on putting the old camera/lens in a ziplock which is in my double bag backpack which is going to be in a large garbage bag.

However...we all know my luck with water. I'm hoping for the best!

OK, here goes. Should be fun. I have about 4 layers of plastic/cloth between my camera and the water. That should do it for a small slip.

If you meet any nice girl salmon up there, you let us know.
Good luck

Whew! OK, everything is fine. I borrowed my friend's dry suit and that made all the difference. My feet were absolutely numb. The water was sternum deep at it's highest. I was carrying my bag and tripod on my head for parts. On the way back a woman snapped a picture of me (I wasn't suspecting people there). I wish I could have seen it.

I did come up with something I'm pretty happy with. You'll have to wait for the challenge to see it.

If I was going to be sternum deep in a river with my camera, I would have invested in a Pelican case... (note to self...buy a pelican case before work this summer!)
