How does Picassa2 work? I just burned 4 CD's and deleted the folders, emptied the recycled bin & restarted my computer, yet the photos still show up when I open the folder. My laptop has been running very slow and I thought burning some photos & dumping them would help. Do I need to delete folders from Picassa as well? Picassa has archived back to 1999 with photos that have long since been burned to a CD. Anyone have any ideas?

Deb

Only just started using Picasa (about a month ago), but here's how I see it

When I upload pics then Picasa automatically picks them up

When I delete pics they are gone from Picasa

BUT...

If I edit an image using Picasa and then save it then it creates a copy of the picture in a file called Picasa Exports (which should be one of your files within 'my pictures'...It may be that you have edited and saved a lot of files, deleted the originals from your pc but still have a load of edited files in there

If when you go into Picasa you are 'seeing' pictures come up which you think you have deleted then they are on your PC somewhere

Hope this helps solve the problem

Thank you Jon. I discovered that I could right click on an image and it would find it on my computer. Oddly, I used Picasa once to walk my sister through some steps, other than I don't use it at all.

I also found the "delete from Picasa" option. It seems to want to keep my deleted images, but I think I solved my problem.

Picasa reminds me of Paper Port in some ways - from years ago :)
