In an effort to put my main site off for another say 3 years. Im looking to turn my server around and use it for something.

Im looking to create a portfolio type website. Initial limitations ive calculated at 1500 files per account with a maximum of 1 GB of storage space per account. The whole site would be PHP/MySQL due to the server running Fedora Core Linux.

Im having issues coming up with domain names. I didnt want to ask this here because you throw up some domain names someone might use and some other idiot goes out and buys em up.

Any idea's.

I didnt but ive brainstormed about 30 domains all taken and im just about getting silly at this point. I probly shouldnt even bother wasting the time but i figured i could spend a couple of months writing the code get it up. Let 100 Initial users use the Initial 1500 file 1GB limit for free for say a year. See how the bandwidth goes how the space allotments are working out. Then either scrap it or turn it into a low cost Portfolio server from there to cover the actual costs of running the server.

AT that point id take all exisiting sites move them to a new colocation rack which would triple the avaliable bandwidth. The space limitations are just for trial purposes.

and btw no ads or anything funny. DOnt believe in it. AT this point i have several sites im doing for free just off the fact there is no added cost except the domain name.
