I shamelessly ask if anyone has considered this shot for an OOBIE.

Just in case you wanted to and didn't know how, here's an easy link to the OOBIE and Yappie nomination thread.

Oh, wow. Now I am embarrassed -- I didn't look far enough back in the thread. Thank you Color and Purple!

Boy, I go donate platelets and you all have a conversation about one of my favorite series of all time.

I also played the text game.

As for old computers, my first one was an Atari 400, which had a touch keyboard. I didn't have enough money to buy the 800, which had a keyboard with real keys. Bought it with my Bar Mitzvah money. :)

Deb and others: thanks for the kitchenware ideas!

Michelle, I got your pop culture shot once I saw it. :)

Anyone who wants to shoot a nude self-portrait, I'll be happy to hold the lights. *grin*

Finally: Mary or Don or whoever: when do we vote for this week's awards?

Whoo! I reached two people lol.

Oh and happy belated birthday. How does it feel to be 40? I have about a year to go before the big four-oh!

Thanks. If I think really hard, I can remember waaaay back to when I was 39. :) Just like my daughter, who about 3 days after turning 6 reminisced about when she was a little girl of only 5.

I'll see your sad, and up you a pathetic.

I *just* turned 30. My first year of college I was 19. I was taking "Computer Information Systems" - database management, programming, that kind of thing.

I was doing my assignments with GEOS on my C64 that I got in 4th grade, and printing them out on a dot-matrix printer.

The irony was NOT lost on my professors.

Done. Here . I believe I honored Vogon style, but a little by way of Gerard Manley Hopkins. Just keep in mind, it's *supposed* to hurt to read it. :)

If I'm doing it then you can expect an e-mail on Sunday telling you that you have 24 hours to vote, but I'll actually wait until Tuesday.

silverfoxx, I just perused through your recent portfolio additions, and I must say Wow. While I have always liked your self portraits, it was nice to see some images of another.

All I can say is they are all terrific captures and shows that you are capable of shooting just about anyone like it is second nature. You have raised yourself even higher from that lofty pedestal in my eyes. Truly excellent work.

Cheers all.

I too am very impressed with the portraits of Thale.

Whereas I maintain it's just not fair. Svetlana already has HERSELF to shoot when she needs a gorgeous model. Now she has a gorgeous friend who models for her, too? Sheesh.

I've got two excellent TS comments on my insect, in the form of a canoodle from krnodil and a positive death rattle from posthumous.

Of course, I am also the recipient of outflow from the vogon muse:

Check it - I am honoured.
