Basically you run a franchise as general manager/head coach. It has over 45,000 players in the game and licences for over 20 real hockey leagues including the NHL, Juniors and those over in Europe.

Not me.. I'm more a fan of arcade type hockey. NHL2K7 on the PS2 is my speed. I ignore the management side of things and just rack up 32 - 0 scores for 10 seasons in a row :)

It's probably been 7-10 years since I last played those types. I'm more of a strategy/simulation type playa. :P

There's a lot of you around. I remember when players were *screaming* for that type of game. It's nice to see them out there though. Maybe one day I'll be up for more strategy-like stuff.

I am almost ashamed to admit that my last saved game for EHM listed a game time of 28 days... (mind you, I leave the game running and minimize it when Im not playing.)

I'm thrilled that Vancouver won the series, that game was a superb effort and they clearly deserved to win. Say what you will about penalties, but the team thats chasing is the one that usually ends up in penalty trouble. Tonight, that team was the Stars, as the Canucks relentless effort in the last 2 periods led to 10 Dallas penalties.

What I'm not so thrilled about, is the fact that my ticket to the game, which was through a friends family, got redistributed to his sister who flew into town just to watch game 7... I think it goes without saying that I am less than happy with him for misleading me...

Argh. Dallas couldn't buy a break in this series. I think they hit the post more times then they scored. Meanwhile, Vancouver gets lucky bounces off end boards and steal games they had no business winning. Even with that had Dallas shown just a little discipline in game 7 they win this series. Just wasn't meant to be.

there were SO many undisciplined penalties tonight, I can't believe there were no calls against the stars for goalie interference, its brutal!

Even with all those penalties it seemed the refs were only calling about 1 of every 3 infractions that were going on. The Stars definitely got away with some. Not having Zubov really hurt as he's so good at calmly moving the puck out of their zone and they really struggled in that aspect which led to many of those penalties.

Yeah, i feel bad for Turco though. Im a die hard canucks fan but he played fantastic the whole series, 3 shutouts! In all fairness I don't think we deserve to go on, we had horseshoes stuck up our you know what's. Dallas overall was the better team aside from game 1 and 7

Man this is shaping up to be a Ducks/Sharks conference final. How freaking lame will that be? Hopefully the east will have something far more interesting.

Well it kinda sorta has something to do with that. Just sucks the Stars are playing golf while those two are still playing. The Stars owned both of them in the regular season and would have finished first in the Pacific if anybody else in the NHL could play worth a damn against them. As far as I'm concern they are both getting a free ride now that they don't have to go through Dallas! :P

As a Canucks fan, the Ducks worry me alot less than the Stars did. It was so relieving to be able to dump the puck in again! Giguere looks very beatable, and our forwards generated chances for once.

Now, if only they could stay out of the box, and finish those scoring chances. Giggy isnt Turco, we dont need the perfect play to beat him. Shoot the damn puck!

yeahi heard we're getting some swedish twins tonight....

(have you seen that commercial?)

Swedish Twins

IMO they botched that commercial by not showing any actual hockey. If they had a couple quick Sedin-sense clips right before the My NHL thing comes up, it would be pure gold.

As long as they can build a huge lead in periods 1 and 2 it will be fine them not showing up for the third.

Argh. Rangers blew so many chances to win that game. Naturally the game has to finish with Lindy Ruff going crazy on the sidelines. Hey idiot your team won! I'm guessing had the Rangers scored there and won in OT he would have burned the place down. Geez.

I watched the game on Versus and with two minutes left Buffalo got called for a 2 minute penalty. Lindy Ruff was irate about it and after the game ended they showed him throwing stuff on the bench and yelling at the refs as the Buffalo players came out to congratulate their goaltender. Reminded me of that incident earlier in the year against the Sens when Ruff sent out 5 goons to start a fight after Drury got knocked out by what appeared to be a clean hit. I think he wanted to fight the Sens coach Murray at the time. I guess there's a reason why he's called Ruff. :P
