Ok so I buy all this fancy schmancy equipment.

Rebel XT
Lighting Kit
Nice big black muslin backdrop
IR Remote
Reflector (and a stand for it)
Backdrop support and chromakey green backdrop

Sigh... Ok Now how the HECK do I make it all work together?
They talk about a PC Sync adaptor... for the flash.... any suggestions??? I KNOW you folk know how to set it up... I'm clueless at the moment.

I am not familiar with the XT but there should be a whole somewhere where you can plug the sync cord into. If not, you are going to need something to trigger the strobes, like a hotshoe flash or an infrared trigger if the strobes support it.

because those strobes cannot be dialed down or up, you are going to need to physically move them futher or closer from the subject to get the desired power. I have never used chroma key backdrops so I can't help you there, all I can say is that for you to be able to remove the background and replace it in PP, it needs to be evenly lit, which may be a bit difficult with only two lights.

The only way to master your kit is to practice, practice, practice!

The 350D doesnt have a PC sync, but you can get a Hotshoe adaptor pretty cheaply

I accidently picked up two IR Remotes... But will the 350D IR work to set off the flashes?

Or best just to get the adaptor?

No, they won't, you'll need the adapter and a cord if the lights didn't come with a cord.
