I am trying to resize a photo for dpc prints. I am having tons of trouble. I am using photoshop cs2. I have already read the help articles and that is not helping. Can anyone help me.

well what is the trouble? you have not specified.

Just make sure ur cropping to 1.25:1 1.5:1 or 1:1. You want to submitt he LARGEST copy you can so basicly crop to an aspect ratio, do your edit save and upload.

Using the selecton tool you can change it from normal to aspect ratio and say for 4x5's and 8x10's u can crop with wdith vs height or height vs width as 1.25 and 1. 6x6 12x12 use 1 and 1. 4x6 and 8x12 then use 1.5 and 1.

you also need to once u upload the print goto the bottom select the start selling now, you must enter title and keywords but description is optional. Then update and you should be able to save or whatever at the bottom of that page.

Then wait 12-36 hours go back to the edit page and the image should be approved.

Call me stupid but I am not seeing a selection tool, and I don't want to crop the picture anymore than I already have. I do have the raw original if I need it.

For DPC prints you have to make the canvas size the right aspect ratio. If your image doesn't match one of the accepted aspect ratios then the canvas size needs to be changed so that it does. Check out Ben's tutorial. There's a lot of good info in there.
