let non-members enter both open challenges...yes it makes us want to pay...but for some people its the satisfaction of completing a task rather than winning it |

The exclusive open challenges apply to members too...we can only enter one. It's the additional member challenges that we get access to. |

The exclusive open challenges were not implemented as an incentive to pay, but as a means to handle what was felt to be overly large challenges. Since anyone can enter an open challenge, everyone did. This resulted in the open challenges having so many entries that many felt overwhelmed by the prospect of voting on them all. The open challenges were split into two exclusive open challenges to keep the individual challenges to managable sizes. Presumably, if needed, additional exclusive challenges will be added to preserve the accepted ideal challenge size.

Thanks for the offer. I appreciate it, but I doubt I would have time to even open the package. I'm starting a 3-month intensive training course tomorrow which promises to take all my time. I probably won't have much time to check in on the forums much either.
As to what happened to my camera, well that was a combination of a small boy getting into my camera bag and a very playful kitten. From what I'm been able to piece together, my son had taken my D70 out of the closet where I kept it and was taking pictures with it. I'm not sure if he was holding it or had it sitting on the desk, but the kitten decided the dangling camera strap made a really good toy. The camera hit the floor, the cat hit the ceiling and I came home to find everything in back in my camera bag and sitting on my desk.

I don't throw out my old equipment, which explains the 8088's and 386's I have. Although some of the more useful stuff i give away or trade. Wasnt exactly looking to hand out the olympus but someone without a camera seems important. |
