Hola fellow denizens of DPC.
Just wondering what kind of support could be given behind making the portfolios here dragndrop enabled?
SU (stumbleupon) sent me here: Artypapers, which then linked me to script.aculo.us and I saw DIS.
And I thunk to myself, "Hey self, that would be cool on DPC", and self said back "Well go post it you slacker!" Which led me here ;)
As I understand it (which actually I don't) this wouldn't affect the site design, or require a fancy new interface, it just assigns some of the existing objects with a "draggable" and "drobbable" properties. Feel free, oh web guru's, to point out the error of my ways.
But I think everyone would agree, this WOULD be a nice little addition to the current interface, if said programming could be done with ease.

Well, hopefully if the implementation might have been a problem this could help, though I know Langdon favors home-brew code. Thanks for th response :) |

Well if we can atleast drag and drop to the upload box, that would work for me. I tested it and we cant. That might be browser specific though?
I know u might be looking for a more advanced version of that but a simpel drag and drop on the upload box and hitting upload would be an improvment.

I agree, a drag-n-drop option would be great, especially if you can do multiple images. I know you can upload multiple images in a zip file but I often forget about that.
If not a drag-n-drop options mabye just the ability to select multiple images instead of just one at a time. |

I think you might have misunderstood, the specified script plugin only allows for page elements to become inherently drag-able and drop-able objects. DragNdrop from desktop into the web-browser is not what I was thinking of.
However, that would be sweet too! ;) |
