Speaking of stolen images:

Last week a nice gentleman introduced himself to me as the president of our town's camera club. He said he liked my photos, so much so that he had taken one off my pBase site, framed it, and presented it to the direcotr of the town library as a retirement present. um are we fighting a losing battle here?

Oooooo! Free advertising! Make the best of it by one upping the "president" by offering a trade to the director. Give him a matted and framed copy of the image in exchange for the lesser quality image.

You might even return the stolen image to the president with COPYWRITTEN hand written over the image. Along with a disapproving look. :)

OOOH I like this idea! The part that was bugging me most was the tiny web image that was enlarged. Your plan solves all my problems, Thanks. I think I won't, however, join the camera club.

I'd send the president of the camera club a $3000 invoice for infringement usage.

I think I would have been just completely flabbergasted beyond words in that situation. I would have just been gulping air like some fish hoisted out of the water...
