Sorry to hear about your loss. I have pet macaw, named Macawly, who ate all of the bottons off of my telephone. But not nearly as great a loss as yours.

Better! BETTER than crow! More colorful flavor. ...although I think I bit down on a piece of a laptop screen.

In Australia we have many different parrots, one of them is a Galah.

They say they're a bit tough, so you need to follow the traditional is a recipe carefully.

Galah soup

Add one Galah and one large, smooth stone to some boiling water. Season to taste. Boil for three days. Throw away the Galah and eat the rock.

Might work for macaws, too :-)

I'm sorry but I had to laugh at the original post...I wasn't laughing at what happened though.

I used to have a mollucian cockatoo that we would let run around the house while we were home. Well one day I was home alone and he was running all over his cage wanting attention but I was busy on the other side of the room on my computer. All of a sudden I heard a loud POP! I looked around and noticed the bird running up his cage as fast as he could go, when I looked further down I noticed smoke coming from the vacuum cleaners power cord. I had left it plugged in last time I used it and he went and bit right through the thing. I guess he's not a good conductor of electricity cause all it did was scare him nothing else. Luckily I could just replace the cord.

Let's see he also went through two different cords to the electric iron, nipped my mom (boy was she mad)...oh and bit off every Christmas tree light within reach on the bottom of our tree and destroyed all the ornaments down there too. It was weird cause we were actually gone and somehow he unscrewed the D-ring we put on his cage to lock him in and just had a field day with us gone. Good thing that wasn't plugged in, we might not have had a house to come home to.

Good luck with the laptop and sorry to laugh, those birds are a lot of fun but they can cost ya sometimes too.

We have a mulculcan cockatoo also, usually he is pretty good though all of them really are... Looks like I may just buy myself a new laptop..And keep it far far away from the birdies.

Thanks for all the laughs and support
