I have a compact (Canon S45) which I love but I know myself: I will jump to a DSLR. I just don't know when. I know that you can reach a better results with DSLR especially when you buy good lenses. Can someone show me some differences? I would like to see the same picture (or comparable ones), one taken with a compact cam and one with a good DSLR? Or do someone know a Web site that explains/shows main advantages of going to SDLR?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried DPReview? They usually have sample shots from different cameras. You could use the Side-By-Side link to compare cameras. It doesn't look like the same images are the same but maybe you could get a decent idea? First choose the cameras to compare and show them. Then under the "More Information" section (second row down) there should be a link for sample gallery. Not all cameras have samples, but many do.
Hope this helps.
