High school GPA = 1.9 and that's only because Sr year I realized I was better then that and started trying.
College GPA (Engineering) = 2.7
Difficuly getting first job out of school = nil, had offers before I graduated and switched to a different job 3 months into the first one.
Times I've been asked my GPA since getting that first job = 0 |

Why bother with that? I'm a Fire fighter/EMT and I have the cool license plate, along with some cool flashing red lights and a REALLY loud siren! *G*
I do have a degree, but it's in Business Management not the medical field. |

Ugh. I hate school!
D=
And some stupid junior got all cameras banned by photographing his manhood in the locker room last week.
So now I'm mourning the loss of having my camera with me during school hours.
=( Sometimes there are things that need to be photographed.
And I'm like.. Twitching to take the pictures.
D= School is out to destroy you. |

I'm an engineer. Pretty much every job app I see asks for GPA. I've been out of school for almost 10 years and I still get asked about my GPA for both undergrad and grad school. It's certainly not the only metric used, but it does play a role.
I'm glad I got a 3.8/4.0
FWIW, I still drank plenty of beer and went to plenty of parties. It just seemed that the C students were less motivated to get into their studies enough to really learn the material well. I remember studying with some of them in more advanced classes and mentioning that something was based on material from an earlier class and getting stared at like it was ridiculous to remember some material from last year. |

I think a GPA says something about a person. Anybody who works hard to get A's probably would work hard for your company.
