Hey guys! My cousin came in town with her two year old son and I got a few shots. I would love some critique on these. Thanks!

Love the dirty feet one - It tells such a nice story. The focus on the feet show he's been busy being a kid, and the loving interaction between the mother and son's faces in the background puts it in a terrific context. You don't even need the words - the photo tells the story perfectly. |

The last one is my favorite. I love the look on his face. With the off center comp. it looks as if he is up to something. And since he is a 2 year old boy I bet he is. Good job on catching him playing rather then just sitting there posing. All of the shots seem so natural. Great job!!!

his personality shines through on the last one (the B&W) it's definitely the money shot.
The dirty feet is next in my favs, but the text just ruins it. (you did ask :-) ) The photography should tell the story so well that you don't need titles or text. This shot works great without the text, it wasn't shot to allow room for the text, lose the text. :-)
I miss two year olds - my youngest is twelve now - not nearly as fun to take photos of - and where did the 12 year olds personality go? Every shot has to be a tough guy now.
Anyway, looks like you had fun - overall very nice work - I'm sure your cousin loves them too. |

Thank you so much! And, yes...the text was not something that was going to be staying...I guess I should've mentioned that! :) Thank you so much for the nice comments, though! |
