I'm not clear when it is OK for people to call others names in the forums and I don't mean the banter between friends.
The Site Council appears to be inconsistent in deciding what is acceptable or unacceptable language in the forums.
So, how is this decided and why is it not applied equally?

The easiest answer is that we probably don't see it all. We usually depend on the readers to "report post" when they see the name calling.
I know we spend a lot of time in the forums, but that doesn't mean we see everything despite popular opinion that we do. :) |

it's not ok, and if you see something you don't like, simply use the [REPORT POST] button. simple as that. believe me, they take it seriously, and they respond. as much as we'd like to believe otherwise, they can't be everywhere at all times, reading every single post. that's why they put that button there. don't be afraid to use it.
