My daughter saw how much I was enjoying the challenges and wanted to enter one of them. She chose a tough one, Propaganda. Her first photo taken for a contest and for other than snapshots and she finished over 5 (and I did not even vote on hers).
My problem is that I am divided between pride and envy. Pride in her choice and shot and placement. Envy that it took me four challenges to break the 5 barrier and she did it first time out.
Although I did not enter this challenge, how many others out there are competing with loved ones?
Congratulations daughter. Pride definitely wins out.

I say crush her! Artistically speaking anyway. Show her that pop may not have the steady hands and the good eyesight but it's experience and wisdom that counts. And if you can't crush her here... don't pay for college. That'll teach her for showing up dad. |
