Getting attacked by a shark. I do live in Utah now, so it's not as big a problem anymore... ;)

being burned (I seem to get burned a lot)

She's diabetic and she's gotten pretty low at night before, and even at times that she couldnt even speak and was shaking was able to pull my hair hard enough to wake me so that I could help. I'm thankful I was right there by her side those times she did need me but I still constantly worry about there being a time she doesnt find a way to alert me. I wake up several tiems a night just to watch her breath and make sure she's laying in a normal position and hasnt had a seizure. soemtimes I make a noise so thqat she'll wake up briefly and I can see her move too. That's my number one worst fear for sure.

oh my, many many many hugs to you and your daughter!!

really surprised no one mentioned "Update button breaking"

I guess my worst fear is something happening to my wife or daughter while I'm so far away and not being able to help or save them.

After the safety/well being of those in my immediate circle of family, my worst personal fear is of strange dogs and being bitten. I was attacked by a friend's dog when I was 7 or 8 - chewed my heel up pretty good. Since then been terrified of them and have numerous times gone way out of my way when running or biking to avoid them.

I'm also "a'feard" of dogs when I ride my bike ever since I got hit by one.

My greatest fear (aside from the usual about family members' well being) has already been realized, so I needn't worry about it any more. I think in an odd way that's a good thing?

When i was 3 i got electrocuted while my dad was 2 hours away, and my baby sitter didn't know what to do so somehow my dad made the 2 hour trip in just under 25min :S He happened to have his police car so those lights come in handy lol. He didn't know it but i only singed my finger tips but still. That musta been pretty scary for him :P

edit: Oh and funny picture art lol.. good stuff.

Agreed. Fear of harm to their children is probably every parent's worst fear.

I fear being outside at night. It kind of cuts down those great night shots everybody loves to shoot. If I try to go outside for some night shots I keep feeling like animals with fangs are coming after me and tearing me apart. Have they ever? No. Do they exist? Well, coyotes fall into that category, as well as pit bulls and bull mastiffs, but the liklihood of it happening is less than getting hit by a car. Still I can't shake the fear, no matter how logically I try to approach it.
