Which one of these picks do you like the best. I am not good at black and white yet but I am trying.

Thanks, Jeremy

personally, i prefer the color one. try a third with some color and some not. pink buds with a b&w surounding could be cool...

The color version - especially if you gave the colors a bit of a boost.

Personally I prefer black and white for this, but either way I think it could do with a bit more contrast.

I like B&W with a little touch of curves and USM (and crop)

I like the B&W one however the small web resolution does not do it justice. There's so much detail in the picture it would look great poster size ;)

have to agree...up the saturation in especially the pink(red) area and it will help a lot. Some contrast adjustment might also be in need.

Beetle talked me into it.

I hope you don't mind a fellow D80 owner giving it ago.

Yup there is too much subtle coolness to make this a b/w... or if you want to go b/w go really contrasty.

My choice would be color... and as mentioned boost the saturation and adjust the contrast/levels a tad.

Personally I would like to see a tighter crop to remove some of the unimportant elements on the left.

Croped, boosted saturation and played with contrast/levels a bit. I think you also need a bit more USM which I overdid here, so I threw a gaussian blur level on top soften it to a dreamy type feel.

I like the vignetting that you did here Waz, it forces the viewer to the gentleman on the bench.

hope you don't mind..thought it might make a decent duo/quadtone..
your contrast was a bit low I think as someone pointed out..there are several ways to correct that, then I don't think black and white is an issue..I spent about 15 seconds on this shot...and if you don't like me playing with it I will erase, no worries...
