That looks pretty nice. 10 MP on a 1/1.75" sensor ain't tooooo terrible, but noise will still probably be an issue. Thank goodness it has some CCD Shift VR... f/2.5 is cool, but f/4.4 blows. Interesting that it can go as narrow as f/15.8... wow! taking into consideration the rest of the stats though, it will probably start facing loss of fine detail due to diffraction at around f/5.6, so almost a bit of a head scratcher there...
It looks like there isn't even an optical viewfinder that is off-center though by the looks of things... pretty weird... Not sure if I'd buy a camera of that range without an optical viewfinder... |

Interesting. It would be nice if it didn't have a rear LCD screen at all, just the removable EVF or an optional OVF, and functioned completely without having to use the EVF. But that would work better if it had a prime lens like the GR-D. You could shoot it like a film camera (it would need a little mono LCD panel for settings), or bring the EVF along to chimp, record videos or something.
Hell with megapixels... it probably won't do very well in the noise department. The zoom range is good though. |
