Yo yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo everyone!!! OK --- just got done shooting for the spinning challenge and going crazy with the editing - I think it'll poop on me like the rest but oh well - Now... on to the introduction... forgive me if I c/p from my website about me... it will be quite long, but I think you get a sense of me with it...

I was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, located on the shores of Lake Erie. When I was 12 I was charged with the mission of photographing historical sites related to United States Steel with my father. We took turns snapping photos of what looked like ancient ruins. With my father's old Canon, which felt like it cost a million dollars, I captured a shot of a stream running through a concrete tunnel thatFilm had been long forgotten by the Lorain steel industry. I had inadvertently stumbled upon a photograph that was at the appropriate shutter speed, f-stop, film speed, depth of field, and focus. That photograph won first prize in the contest and was featured in a calendar produced by US Steel. From the moment I took those first shots I was hooked.

From that point I ventured into the video production arena. My friends and I made short films with a borrowed VHS-C camcorder. The series and subsequent audio tape (prank phone calls, skits, etc.) was aptly named "Chaos of Boredom." To this point I have never had so much fun making a video.

I took my photographic and video interests to Lorain County Community College where I learned the method of "Baptism by Fire." My first class was the production of a television show from top to bottom. I ran the cart machine for audio, although, I really didn't understand what the heck I was doing. The show was a success and my understanding of production was improved.

I spent one year taking several "TCOM" classes at LCCC and moved on to Ohio University where I honed my skills in video. I graduated in 2002 with a bachelorĂ¢€™s degree in communications and started working for a non-profit as a financial aid advisor. Yes you heard me correctly (well read what I typed). There I served the public, relaying facts and figures about FAFSA's and SARs and EFC's. I was good at it and it paid well.

Eventually, the funding ran out for my department and I was given my walking papers. Since then I have gone back to my roots, where my passion has always been - Creating images that made me feel good. To me this isn't work - its fun - and fun doesn't equal work it equals happiness.

-Lonz

have a sunset for your time.

Okay, here is my formal introduction:

"Hello my name is Johnna"

::::Hi Johnna::::

LOL

Anyway, seriously...

My name is Johnna Boudreau but you can all call me Jojo (that's what all my friends call me). I live in Tennessee and have FIVE kids. Ages 12, 10, 8, 7, (boys) and 16 months (girl). I have been a member here at DPC since the middle of December. Never lurked, just joined right on up. I have played in WPL once on Team Free Agents and we DID manage to make it to the playoffs for one glorious round :)

I remember taking my first photograph at age 5 or 6 though my mom says I started at age 2. I used to get Discovery magazine when I was about 11 and save them all to drool over the images inside the back page. There were usually 6 or 9 and they were macros and shots of stars and such.

Right now, I am a stay-at-home-mom but went for an interview today so we will see how that goes :) I am a certified bridal consultant and have 63 college credits under my belt so far towards a teaching degree (English).

Okay, enough blabbing about me!! Tell us about you :)

Hi, I'm Kelly, I'm 24 & live in Austin, Texas and just joined DPC last week, but am already addicted. I'm a new photographer & just discovered the wonderful world of photoshop (I have a very old version, but it does the trick), so if anyone has any helpful photoshop tricks, I'd love to hear them. I like landscape pictures & love to go to downtown Austin and take black & whites. Another one of my favorite subjects is my mom's very cute kitten, Pickes. I am currently enrolled in a beginner's photography class and am already learning a lot. I hope to do well in the challenges & learn a lot of new things on the way. Go Team NOOB!

I love that picture Jojo, they all have such precious expressions. I entered the Still challenge, now that I've figured out how to edit I'm hoping it does better than my Pop Culture entry (I ask that you do not base 1st impressions on that because it's stinking up a storm :)
