I found this today while Googling around and thought I'd share. I'm not saying somebody stole my idea or whatever, but I found the similarities amazing. I can honestly say that I've never seen this before now, and my entry in the Personification challenge was a totally original idea (or so I thought). The site is in some other language (Dutch maybe?), so I have no idea what it says.

Link to the site: //www.harlingen-skutsje.nl/ and go down to "Biersen."
It's a very nice graphic and the lighting is loads better than mine, but I can at least say that my splash is real. :-)

My take...
PERHAPS someone saw your image and thought it would work for their own purposes. Their image is similar but not an exact match and therefore not STEALING, but it is their own.
What I'd think... imitation is the highest form of flattery. If someone picks my image for inspiration for their own then that means I must be doing something right!

My thoughts exactly, I hope I didn't sound contrary or harsh in my priginal post. It's an easy idea to think up with all the ads with crowns Budweiser has put out. |

Didn't Budweiser themselves do the crown splash idea in one of their commercials before either of these 2 photographs? |

Thanks Greetmir. :-)
I've seen them use crowns utilizing different objects in their ads kind of like the Cingular ads with the signal "bars" and don't recall a splash, but seems logical to me. |

Yeah, when I see the pictures it reminds me of the commercial w/ the crown on the bud which was before the pics were posted. |

Yes, Budweiser has used a splash on their bottle before in print ads and on television. |

My additional take...
Perhaps, though I'd NEVER legally accuse anyone of this, this image might be more like Telehubbie's 'similar' image ( //www.harlingen-skutsje.nl/) than it is being original itself. Some people might think this one is a 'stolen' image. Of course, that would be the conclusion of others, not me.
