I've been reading forums to learn about post processing. "neat image" and "noise ninja" are two terms that I can't seem to find in the GIMP program I'm using.
Any help out there? |

| Those are both third-party (commercial) noise-reduction programs, not part of GIMP itself. |

Neat Image and Noise Ninja
I am pretty sure that both will only work with Photoshop but you can do some research. |

They also work with Paint Shop Pro.

They also have standalone versions. At least Neat Image does. I don't use Noise Ninja, so I'm not as familiar with it. |

From my understanding, I think the 'despeckle' feature has some similar functionality, but not nearly to the extent of these two programs.

Oh yeah, that is right. I had forgotten. Noise Ninja has a standalone version as well. |

Plug-in for noise reduction in the GIMP.
Another plug-in for noise reduction in the GIMP.
NOTE: I have not tried any of these methods, so you're on your own as far as figuring them out, but I thought I'd post the links. Maybe they'll help. Also try a Google search for "GIMP noise reduction" and see what comes up.
