They should also have new hardware out within the next few weeks.

Any ideas as to what will be released?

There is a gigantic rumor community surrounding apple products. A summary of hardware rumors can be found at this page on macrumors.com. Keep in mind that prior to official announcements these are just rumors and speculations...

1) Although everyone says Macs are easy to use, how big will the learning curve be coming from a PC background for the last 15+ years?

Just to be a lone dissenting voice, the curve was very hard for me. I was excited about the new iMac and was looking forward to it, but I simply found the OS frustrating. I had to become familiar with it for work, but after some time, I gave up entirely. I'm sure most don't have this experience, but I found it unintuitive and impossible to acclimatize to. I'm now a big Vista fan btw.

I know one other person with a similar story (only one). I worked with him for a while and it turned out that he was trying to make things way more complicated than they really were. He was getting frustrated because a process didn't work with ten steps when only two steps were necessary. Basically, he was overthinking it.

Well, after 15+ years of overthinking, I hope I can acclimate to only needing 2 steps! :o)
