OK. So I'm not the best at using all of the various functions of Photoshop and I need some help. I have 200 engagement photos that I took for a friend. I want to crop them down by a percentage, run a sharpen on them, and save them so I can burn a proof CD for them. I created an action with the simple steps. However, when I try to fun File->Automate->Batch, the dialogue comes up fine, but instead of saving the photos, I am asked what quality of JPEG to save at. That defeats the purpose of doing the batch processing if I have to sit at the computer and hit enter 200 times just to save the photos. I'm sure there is a way around this, and I just don't know it. Any help out there?

I just a run a batch using those steps and didn't have any trouble at all. Have you tried starting with a fresh action? If you have and that doesn't work, post a screenshot of your action, with all the individual steps open and I can give you better guidance. |

The action that the batch is supposed to run is the Western Engagement. The files are currently JPEGs, saved directly from Camera Raw in Bridge. |

I recall doing the exact same thing with a different action only a couple of weeks ago, and had no problem. Now, for the life of me, I can't seem to get it right without requiring me to be present for each photo to be saved in order to set the quality of the JPEG file. |

Try finishing your Action by recording a Save As in a new folder. It worked perfectly for me doing that. It records the quality setting you want within the Action, making it unnecessary to ask you.

Thanks. That seems to be working fine that way. Ugh! It's always the most stupid little things that stump me! |

I'm sure I did something similar a number of times before figuring that out ;) |
