I made each as an image and inserted them. Each time I have ordered the cards have looked great.

I just found out that MPIX sells email addresses. I registered with them under two different accounts by mistake and now their ads are broadcast to both accounts, along with a whole bunch of other spam from other people. I didn't have any of that till I registered on MPIX.

You're right. Either that or MPIX has a security problem with their servers. I am inundated with spam since MPIX account was opened. Bear that in mind before you do business with MPIX.

That's strange, because I don't get much email from them at all. Maybe 4-6 times a year. Maybe it's a settings things? I tend to read things carefully anytime I register with a site and make doubly sure I'm not getting any bulk email and 3rd party emails.

My current PITA is PCMAG.COM sending me crap from my registering on extremetech.com. I get like 3 emails a day from that addy.

I don't mean spam from MPIX. I mean spam as a result of signing up at MPIX. Either MPIX sells email addresses or they have a leaky server or some other security issue. Anyway, since signing up with MPIX I have a lot of nasty spam. No other event occured at this time so I can only draw the conclusion that it is MPIX related...

I understand that.

What I do is tag all my email addys with +sitename to know where it came from, i.e. foo+mpix@bar.com instead of just foo@bar.com. I've yet to see any emails coming from anyone except MPIX using the +mpix flag. Just my experience.

As for my experience with MPIX software and cards. That software needs major work and I'm still waiting for a better way to upload normal images. The cards looked good but were on the expensive side compared to other sites.

That's a good idea ... I assume they all just end up in your catch-all inbox and then you can see what comes in using each site name? I just set up a personal domain/web hosting and I am going to do this as well just out of curiosity.

You got it. And for certain mailing lists that I'm on, I can set up rules that put the messages in the right folder based on the email address it was sent to.

Note if you use this technique: Some sites will state that foo+mpix@bar.com is invalid because it has '+' in it. These sites are breaking the standards and need to be told this. I send the web master a note with a link to 'plus addressing'.
