With one day left for "pop" contest and three for "spinning" the numbers of submissions seem very low, aren’t they!?
Any reflections on that? Are the subjects too astray? Or what?

Yeah.. both are difficult challenges..I can't come with anything suitable this week.. well at least the comments will be more than average for the contestants and less competition..

Egg blender spins, doesn't?
A tire does.
A dancer does.
If the sh.. hits a spinning fan.
Some ideas that is all

Here are a list of ideas and if I'm thinking of them I know they are cliche enough to work for Pop Culture:
- Teenage girl lying on her stomach while browsing through a fashion magazine. Maybe a (Scalvertish) spoof on that idea could be using an old lady dressed youngish doing the same thing.
- People walking or standing near a large ad/billboard (make sure it has a person in it.)
- Image processed to look Andy Warhol like. I bet you could also find some warped glass that could display multiple images of a person's face.
- The iPod wearing youth (I just said youth argh!). Do it like the U2 commercial while remaining photographic looking and I'm sure it's bound for a high score especially if the background is a sunset.
- Fly to Southeast Asia and take some local kids to the beach. Give each a coke and have them all jump up in the air. That'll be good for a ribbon.
Ok that's enough for now. :P |

| I'm in with a "Pop Culture" shot - and in for another superly average 5.something no doubt (my current trend) - I'm so far out of knowing what pop culture is about, that this is coming from a purely Bohemian perspective of what "Pop Culture" means. Got my props lined up and ready for tomorrow to shoot a spinning image - hope it doesn't rain, snow or blow a 50 km wind. |

Thanks!!
I think there are quite a few people thwaking their heads reading that... especially if they have something similar hehe...
Okay my friends/models bailed on me ... Everyone seems to think I run a coughporncough site in the back or something.. They believe I'll glue their heads on ppl and make lots of money..
I actually did develop an idea for pop but I'm sick in bed .. never go out in the rain while taking pics for the other challenge... I decided inanimate objects were better models any day of the month for spinning ...took only two pics before I got spooked and ran inside .. my camera flashed and apparently so did mother nature's.. metal and electricity.. not the best combination..

| One must look at these trends optimisticly, I just submitted my "Pop" entry, and am guaranteed a 'Top 50' finish, providing no one else enters. |
