I recently have had a few comments about captions. How much credit for the score do you give an image based on the caption. For me I do not add or remove points related to the caption.

Like you, I don't (knowingly) add or subtact points because of the title BUT, a good title can enhance a picture whereby a poor title like "green frog sitting on a lilly" when the image is a 'green frog.......' makes me say "why?"

What seems like years ago know (well it was) I titled a picture 'retired, after 50 years' the commenter said the reference to years was redundant - and yes, it was so, if I do the shot again it will be titled 'Retired'. Have also heard that 3 word titles should be sufficient to explain the image (if required).
